Eczema

At about 3 months old my son came down with a terrible case of eczema. It was awful, oozing, thick, red and angry. It broke my heart to see my little guy uncomfortable and itchy. We ended up going to a dermatologist to get it under control.

Now that it has calmed down I can keep it at bay for the most part. With the help a few products, first bath him in Aveeno Baby Soothing Bath Treatment , then I slather him in Aveeno Baby Daily Moisture Lotion and lastly for the hot spots I use Baby Aquaphor Healing Ointment . I use the lotion and the ointment a few times a day too. I’ve tried everything but for us, those are the products that worked. With this regimen we saw a noticeable difference.

I hope this helps you Moms out there. Eczema can be a tough battle.

New Parent Guide

When the little guy was just weeks old, I was looking for information. Real life useful information and for the most part I think I found it.

This book: 100 Things I Wish I Knew In My Baby's First Year: Keys To Making Parenting Easier And Your Baby Happier has been very helpful. It was written by parents who had three children within one year! I figure with that kind of baby experience I can learn a thing or two from them. Even though the days, and weeks get easier and easier I still pick this book up every once in a while for help.
